Slaughter Beach is a small Sussex County town on the Delaware Bay shore east of Milford. Delaware Route 36 leaves Milford as Cedar Beach Road, crosses the Route 1 bypass at an interchange east of the city, and winds through farmland and marsh to a drawbridge over Cedar Creek just outside town, where the road continues as Bay Avenue.
