Pick the office closest to the crash rather than the one closest to home when the two differ, because that is where the police report, the witnesses and the business video will be.

Which office you choose does not change the deadline on your claim or the court your case goes to. Delaware’s general deadline for a personal injury claim is two years under 10 Del. C. § 8119, deadlines vary by claim, and some notice requirements are much shorter when a government vehicle or public property is involved. A lawsuit is filed in the Superior Court for the county where the crash happened: New Castle County cases at the Leonard L. Williams Justice Center in Wilmington, Kent County cases at 38 The Green in Dover, and Sussex County cases at 1 The Circle in Georgetown.
